Common Mistakes When Choosing Where to Stay in Thassos
Most people do not choose a bad base in Thassos. They just choose one that does not match the kind of trip they actually want. The island is small enough to explore easily, but the difference between a lively beach town, a practical port base, and a quiet fishing village still shapes your days more than many travelers expect.

- Booking a mountain village without thinking about parking. Panagia and Theologos are beautiful, but they are not convenient for unloading luggage or easy parking inside the village core.
- Choosing a remote area without checking bus routes. Public buses work best from Limenas and a few major beach areas. They are fine for simple point-to-point travel, but not for beach hopping.
